The Ministry of Commerce and industry has issued a quality control directive named the
“Telescopic Ball Bearing Drawer Slide (Quality Control) Order, 2024.
This order shall come into force on the 2nd November, 2024. However, Micro Enterprises as defined under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006), it shall come into force with effect from the 2nd May, 2025 and Small Enterprises as defined under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006), it shall come into force with effect from the 2nd February, 2025
Under this order, all Telescopic Ball Bearing Drawer Slide must adhere to specific Indian standards 17954:2023 (Telescopic Ball Bearing Drawer Slide). This product should carry the standard mark, obtained through a license from the bureau of Indian standards
Provided that nothing in this order shall apply to goods or articles manufactured domestically for export.
