BIS latest notification for V-Belt (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2024

• The V-Belt Amendment Order, 2024 does not apply to domestically manufactured or imported goods or articles before the commencement of the order.
• Manufacturers or importers can sell declared stock up to six months from the date of commencement if they are certified by a Chartered Accountant to the Bureau
• Only a limited number of goods can be sold commercially for research and development purposes per year, with a financial year-wise record kept by the manufacturer
• The manufacturer must notify Government authorities in its letter head signed by an authorized signatory.
