ASI/ASISSE Notice Return Filing Services in Ahmedabad

Expert Consultants for Companies, LLPs & Industrial Establishments in Ahmedabad — MoSPI / NSO Compliance

If your Ahmedabad business received a notice from MoSPI or NSO, you're not alone — and the notice is genuine.

Since April 2026, the National Statistical Office has been sending compliance notices to thousands of companies, LLPs, and industrial establishments across India under two statutory surveys — ASI and ASISSE. Gujarat, as one of India's most industrially active states, has received a substantial share of these notices. Ahmedabad businesses — from textile and chemical manufacturers to trading companies and professional services LLPs — are among the selected enterprises.

The filing is backed by the Collection of Statistics Act, 2008, and non-compliance runs to Rupees 5,000 per day after the 14-day window closes. ASC Group handles the complete filing process for Ahmedabad and Gujarat-based businesses.

Why Ahmedabad Businesses Are Being Selected

Gujarat has one of the largest concentrations of registered factories and incorporated service enterprises in the country. For ASI, NSO's manufacturing survey sample regularly includes Ahmedabad's industrial areas — Vatva, Naroda, Odhav, Changodar, and the Sanand corridor. Textile mills, chemical factories, pharmaceutical units, and engineering goods manufacturers in these areas are familiar with government compliance frameworks — but ASISSE is new.

For ASISSE, NSO used the GSTN database to select enterprises. Gujarat GSTINs registered by trading companies, diamond and gems businesses, logistics firms, and professional services LLPs appear in the sample. Ahmedabad, as Gujarat's commercial capital, has the highest density of such registrations.

ASI and ASISSE — The Distinction

ASI (Annual Survey of Industries): Covers registered manufacturing — factories, electricity undertakings, and industrial units under the Factories Act, 1948. Running since 1959.

ASISSE (Annual Survey of Incorporated Services Sector Enterprises): New in April 2026. Covers incorporated services entities — IT, ITES, trade, finance, transport, healthcare, hospitality, education, real estate, professional services. Ahmedabad's large trading and logistics sector, growing IT presence, and BFSI community are all in scope.

Both run under the Collection of Statistics Act, 2008 and the Jan Vishwas Act, 2023.

Clarification: These surveys have no connection to GST or Income Tax. NSO is legally prohibited from sharing your submitted data with tax authorities. The data goes into national economic statistics.

Penalty Structure

Default Stage Penalty
Failure or refusal to furnish information Up to Rupees 5,000 (companies) / Rupees 1,000 (individuals)
Non-compliance continuing beyond 14 days Up to Rupees 5,000 per day (companies) / Rupees 1,000 per day (individuals)
Wilful submission of false information Imprisonment up to 6 months and/or fine
Recovery mechanism As arrears of land revenue under Section 15C

Paying the penalty doesn't close the filing obligation.

What ASC Group Does for Ahmedabad Clients

Notice Verification We authenticate the notice, identify selected Gujarat GSTINs, and map your exact filing obligation. Many Ahmedabad-based businesses — particularly trading groups and family-owned corporates — have multiple GSTINs across Gujarat and other states. Each selected GSTIN files independently.

Block-by-Block Data Preparation Every required data block is prepared from your source financials — enterprise identity and NIC classification (Block 1), fixed assets (Block 3), working capital (Block 4), employment headcount by gender (Block 5), intermediate consumption under CPC 3.0 (Blocks 6A & 6B), revenue and output (Block 7A), digital infrastructure (Blocks 11 & 12).

Reconciliation P&L, balance sheet, GST returns, payroll register, and fixed asset schedule — reconciled with each other before portal submission. Textile and chemical companies in particular often have complex raw material and by-product structures that need careful CPC 3.0 coding.

Multi-GSTIN Data Apportionment Gujarat-based conglomerates and trading groups frequently have pan-India operations with consolidated books. We break down data to the Gujarat GSTIN level accurately.

Portal Filing and Post-Submission Support End-to-end submission through the official MoSPI platform and follow-up support for any NSO field queries.

Ahmedabad's Specific Challenges: Many Ahmedabad businesses are family-run corporate groups where the same set of Directors and family members run multiple entities under different GSTINs. When multiple entities in a group receive ASISSE notices, each files independently with its own financials. Consolidating or sharing data across entities is not permitted — and the portal has validation checks to catch it. We help such groups manage the process in parallel, systematically, without mixing up entity-level data.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it possible our Ahmedabad textile company is in the ASI sample even though we already file various labour law returns? Yes — ASI is completely separate from labour law compliance. It's a statistical survey under MoSPI/NSO. Labour filings (PF, ESIC, LWF) don't fulfil ASI obligations.

We have a family business group with 6 entities in Ahmedabad. They all received ASISSE notices. Do they all file separately? Yes. Each entity's GSTIN files independently with its own entity-specific financial data.

Our Gujarat GSTIN turnover is small compared to our group revenue. Do we still file? Yes — if that GSTIN received a notice, the filing obligation applies regardless of its relative size within the group.

Can ASC Group handle clients across Gujarat — including Surat, Vadodara, and Rajkot? Yes. We work with clients across all of Gujarat.

Don't Let the Deadline Slip

Whether it's a textile factory in Vatva or a trading LLP in Navrangpura, the filing deadline is the same — and penalties accumulate daily once the grace window closes.
